Both of our hospitals offer full service pet healthcare. We base your pet's care around wellness exams and appropriate preventive medicine. The staff is experienced and well trained to advise you on your pet's needs.
Our medical care includes surgery, dentistry, and internal medicine. In-house diagnostic capabilities include radiology, state of the art blood and serum analyzers, testing for many infectious diseases and parasites, and cytology evaluations. We also communicate with specialists throughout Greater Cincinnati and The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine.
Boarding and grooming are available at both offices.
Williamsburg Animal Hospital was built in 1974 and has served the community at this location since.
New Richmond Animal Hospital opened at Rivertown Market in 1992. To accomodate growth, we relocated at our current location across the street.
Our surgical suites are equipped with the most up to date gaseous anesthetic capabilities. All patients' vital signs are monitored throughout every procedure and recovery. We are equipped to do our own preoperative bloodwork as needed. We perform basic to advanced soft tissue and orthopedic procedures. Based on the procedure, a variety of pain control medications are used including non-steroidal anti-inflammatories, slow release local anesthetics, mild to strong analgesics, and constant rate infusions. Our objective is to offer the patient an expedient and safe surgical procedure with a comfortable recovery.
We emphasize dentistry as part of your pets wellness program for a long healthy life. Cleaning, polishing, flouride treatment, and sealant application are included in our recommended annual or semi-annual dental prophylaxis. We treat periodontal disease and perform advanced dentistry including endodontics, extractions, and a variety of oral surgical procedures. As with all surgical procedures, patient comfort is alway emphasized.
Both practices are fully computerized allowing us to efficiently manage your pets' medical records. The internet gives us immediate access to outside laboratory results and offers the doctors the ability to research medical cases and pursue the most recent information in the rapidly changing field of Veterinary Medicine.
